*More about Todd “Pharoah” Griffin
With a DJ career spanning 40 years, Pharoah has achieved milestones that many DJs could only dream about. Pharoah started DJing hip hop in 1983 at the age of 13. By the time he was 15 he landed his first night club residency in Boston making him the youngest resident DJ in the city. After attending his first rave in Montreal with a friend in 1992, Pharoah fell in love with the music, adding underground dance music to his repertoire. Within two years he helped to create “Reach” one of the first all-night weekly parties in Massachusetts. They featured popular guest DJs from all over the country. Pharoah went on to create several highly successful weekly club nights and underground parties over the next 10 years. In 1998 Pharoah became the battle DJ champion of New England; he was also tapped to be a regular opening act for Moby. In 2006 he became one of the members of a national touring percussion act Recycled Percussion. In 2009, they tried out for the hit NBC show, America’s Got Talent, where they eventually placed third out of over 100,000 acts. This led to them securing a multi million dollar show on the Las Vegas strip for several years. Pharoah has been a producer of electronic music with several releases on independent labels over the last 30 years. He has proudly performed in every state in the continental US at least once along with opening for entertainers, such as Elton John, Alicia Keys, Kanye West, The Killers, ZZ Top and several others. Today Pharoah is still in demand playing several large festivals every year. In 2025 he helped conceive his newest venture, Daydreamers Media.
